The public jam has become an OFAM favorite with plenty of fun for everyone! With that in-dominatable, inimitable song and dance man, Ian Whitcomb as master of ceremonies, it is a great combination of talent, including OFAM Jazz Advisor Dick Hyman and guests, The Shedd Institute's singing Elderhostelers, and several of the Young Artist Academy ensembles. There will be an opportunity for audience members to sing along and for the most intrepid of you to join in the fun with a special presentation of your own at the open mic! Our only requirement is that you play or sing an Irving Berlin tune. It doesn't have to be "Let Yourself Go"...there are a LOT of tremendous Berlin standards to choose from.
So, as advertisers of Irving's early revues on Broadway put it, "Why get your music from Vienna when you can get it from Berlin?!" Sign up at OFAM to sing your favorite Irving Berlin tune in front of an appreciative crowd! Slots are limited and ensemble acts take precedence. Sing up today!
