Cole Porter’s superb 1948 Shakespearean-play-within-a-musical-comedy Kiss Me, Kate introduced a huge number of gold standards in the classic 1930s Songbook mold: “Brush Up Your Shakespeare”, “Always True To You In My Fashion”, “From This Moment On”, “Wunderbar”, “I Hate Men”, “Too Darn Hot”, “Why Can’t You Behave” and more. Ken and his sextet are joined by festival veterans Julie Alsin, Siri Vik and Bill Hulings in a packed afternoon that offers up the musical’s entire score in concert and in their own special way (including a solid dose of jazz!).
