Marin Alsop’s ensemble String Fever and friends will get you “in the mood” for this year’s Festival with an evening of 1920s-30s standards, from Irving Berlin’s “Puttin’ on the Ritz” and the Gershwin’s “They Can’t Take That Away From Me” to Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean A Thing” and “Mood Indigo”! Among its guests, String Fever welcomes the 60 member Festival Young Artist Academy to the stage for the premier of a new piece we commissioned from David Rimelis especially for the occasion. A great evening for the entire family!
And consider starting your evening with us at the Hilton Plaza for a family-style barbecue.
