Harry Warren & The Hollywood Musical
Fri, Jan 30 - Sat, Jan 31
Overview
Personnel
Program
Quiz time: What American composer had the most songs on the Hit Parade Top Ten during the years 1935-50? The answer is Harry Warren. And if your response is, “Harry Who?!” you’re not alone. For this amazing songwriter was an intensely personal man who shunned the spotlight. But his film career almost exactly parallels the rise and fall of the Hollywood musical and he produced some of its greatest songs. Join the Emerald City Jazz Kings as they pay tribute to this Hollywood great with such tremendous songs as “Chattanooga Choo Choo”, “42nd Street”, “Jeepers Creepers”, Nagasaki”, “On the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe” and many more!
