Jesse Cloninger & The Emerald City Jazz Kings present the hits of the Dorsey brothers across their careers in all of their various combinations with an emphasis on the period from 1935-45: Dorsey Brothers Orchestra, Dorsey Brothers small group recording/studio unit, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. All of the well-known vocalists that they worked with will be represented: Jack Leonard, Edith Wright, Bob Eberly, Frank Sinatra, Helen O’Connell, and even with a featured number that was recorded with Louis Armstrong and Bing Crosby. Of course the show will feature some of the band’s great instrumental hits as well.
