Chuck Redd, his festival jazz unit and Shirley Andress and Siri Vik explore the burgeoning jazz scene that emerged in New York, especially uptown in Harlem, in the 1920s. Look for plenty of Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Fletcher Henderson, a solid dose of Harlem Stride, and a nod to the legendary Ethel Waters and several of the other great vocalists of the decade.
