Chuck Redd hosts as the OFAM 2023 Winter jazz team dish up our usual 3 1/2 hours of great jazz standards and songbook-based improv. A special feature this year will be an extended set comparing standards sung straight to bebop transformations: “What Is This Thing Called Love”(Hot House), “How High The Moon” (Ornithology), “I Got Rhythm (Moose The Mooch), Dizzy and Bird’s take on “All The Things You Are” and so on.
The format for the evening will be the usual: top-ticketed cabaret seating down front of the main floor, and reserved seating up in the balcony, with a full bar in the Tykeson Lobby.
