Ron Daum has become an OFAM regular, with key roles in Of Thee I Sing (The French Ambassador) and On A Spree (both 1996), My Fair Lady (Colonel Pickering, 2004), Anything Goes (2005, Evelyn Oakleigh), and in 2007 he made his directorial debut with company for its production of Babes In Arms.
He has appeared with the Portland Opera in their productions of Man of LaMancha (Barber), Candide (The Man in Yellow) and the West Coast premier of A View From The Bridge (Mike), and with the Portland Symphony in Guys and Dolls (Nathan) and My Fair Lady (Doolittle). Most recently he appeared in Jekyll and Hyde (Poole) with the Broadway Rose Theatre Company in Tigard, Jud in Oklahoma! with the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre in Idaho, and as Paul in Carnival! and Billy (OTAS award winner Best Actor Musical) in Anything Goes with the Lakewood Theatre Company. Other roles include She Loves Me (Kodaly), I Do!, I Do! (Michael), Carousel (Billy), The Will Rogers Follies (Clem), Baby (Alan), Chicago (Billy) and as the twin brothers Hugo and Fredrick in Ring Round the Moon. He has directed multi-award winning productions of Ernest in Love (Drammy Award Winner Best musical), The Fantasticks, Working, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, The Shadow Box; Brigadoon, and the Oregon Premiere of The Spitfire Grill as well as the original Children’s musical Silly Goose (which he also co-authored).
