A consummate entertainer, Clairdee brings elegance, humor and passion to each performance. From nightclubs and festivals to concert halls; from jazz ensembles to symphony orchestras; from Tokyo to Paris, New York to Newport Beach — whether working a smoky rendition of a blues classic, coaxing the tenderness of a ballad, jamming to a soulful groove or swinging on a jazz standard — Clairdee is right at home.
Clairdee has worked with and opened for a diverse roster of artists including the Count Basie Orchestra, Bucky Pizzarelli, Etta James, Johnny Mathis, David Sanborn, Boz Scaggs, Billy Higgins, Ken Peplowski, Cyrus Chestnut and Dianne Schuur. Intelligent and articulate, Clairdee’s skills as a first-rate interviewer shined during her standing-room-only conversation with the legendary song stylist, Nancy Wilson, at the 2008 Monterey Jazz Festival.
“I want to uplift and inspire people through music," Clairdee says. "In that regard, I consider myself a soul singer — building relationships with my listeners, making them feel good. That’s what music is all about.”
