JANET WHITLOW (set designer) Janet works as a 3D designer for a local carving firm and has a BA in Art from Carlow University in Pennsylvania. She has been acting, singing, dancing, painting and designing sets in Eugene area theaters since 2007. A Shedd Theatrical veteran, Janet was last seen as Mrs. Banks in the fall production of Mary Poppins. Janet designed the recent Funny Face set and is delighted to create her second set for the Jaqua stage. Preparing for On the Town included many delightful hours of researching vintage photos of Coney Island, New York City landmarks and ‘40s night life. This set is more figurative than literal with large silhouettes and bright colors. Janet hopes that the energy of that iconic city is evoked as you experience the adventures of these delightful characters. Enjoy the show!
