KARA CHURCHILL (Sister) first performed with The Shedd in 2002 playing Louise in Gershwin’s Crazy for You. Other favorite Shedd shows include Gerty in Oklahoma and Kate in Brigadoon. Kara has also taught “Triple Threat” musical theater workshops to young performers teaching acting, voice, and dance. A proud Oregonian she attended LCC on a talent scholarship then continued her studies at the University of Oregon with a focus on Performing Arts and Exercise Science. Kara has been a Health & Fitness Coach for 8 years and also teaches group exercise classes such as Dance Fitness and Indoor Cycling.
Kara Churchill is a Certified Zumba Fitness Instructor and has taught musical theater dance at Thurston High School. Kara also directed a “Triple Threat” workshop at Ballet Northwest Academy. She has appeared in musicals with Dance Theater of Oregon, Lane Community College, Eugene Festival of Musical Theater, and The Cottage Theater, where she had the starring roles in Ruthless! and Jane Eyre - The Musical Classic. Her directorial debut Crimes of the Heart was also at Cottage Theater. Kara has appeared in Shedd Theatrical productions since 2004.
