Ruxton Schuh has been performing and recording in the Pacific Northwest for over 25 years. Native to the Willamette Valley he attended the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology. Not one to be pinned down to a particular genre, he has performed with a diverse array of acts with styles ranging from jazz to rock, soul to folk, and contemporary gospel to Broadway. In addition to his own experimental and pedagogical projects, he currently plays in Eugene’s own soul band The Essentials, is co-creator and multi-instrumentalist for the eclectic nu-folk group The Rutabaga Blossoms, and plays with Ska & Reggae legend Norma Fraser. Ruxton is excited to be back supporting the Contemporary Songbook Project once more.
