Background, professional training and performance history
Tom has been performing on stage since the age of 9, landing his first big role of George in Our Town at the ripe old age of 12. He has gone on to study theatre at Nebraska Wesleyan University and eventually graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. He has worked in various theatres across the country eventually settling in Eugene in 2007. Here he has performed in countless plays and musicals. Here at the Shedd he has had lead roles in Mary Poppins, Oliver!, Singing in the Rain and The Wizard of Oz. Tom has taught several summer camps and been an advocate for local professional and amateur theatre in the Eugene area.

"Anyone can act. We all do it every day whether we are aware of it or not. Sometimes we just need the right knowledge and tools to help us focus and enlarge our talents."

TOM WILSON has been living and performing in Eugene for the last 9 years. He has been lucky enough to grace several local stages including Cottage Theatre, Very Little Theatre, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, and The Shedd. Some past favorite roles include Clov in Endgame at Lord Leebrick, Osric in Fortinbras and Freddy Benson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at VLT, and Bert in Mary Poppins at The Shedd. Special thanks to Sparky Roberts and Jim Ralph for giving me a shot. And love always to Holly, Ruby, Stella and Monkey.
