Bryce Caster is a violinist/violist born and raised in the PNW and currently based out of Portland. He has a bachelors in violin performance from the UO and currently teaches a boisterous private studio while performing anything from Buxtehude to Taylor Swift. Bryce has studied historical performance practice with the Weimar Bach Cantata Academy, the Berwick Academy, and the American Bach Soloists Academy. He has been recipient of the Jenks Scholarship Award and is the current concertmaster of Opera Theater Oregon. He was the founding fellow of the Big Mouth Society and the Broken Consort and has spent his summers participating in the Oregon Bach festival along with the Astoria Music Festival and the Chintimini Chamber Music Festival. He is known for his focused yet expressive sound and has a flexibility and willingness to play outside of the box. When he isn’t sparkling through concerts and musical collaborations Bryce is singing in choir, going on runs with his dog Joni, or wine tasting.
