Upon graduation from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in music performance, Kevin accepted the principal bass chair with the Hofer Symphoniker in Hof, Germany. After leaving Germany, Kevin accepted principal positions with the National Orchestra of South Africa, the Natal Philharmonic and the Cape Town Orchestra. After 10 years of living overseas, Kevin returned stateside, locating in Seattle and working for The Boeing Corporation as a computer programmer. While in Seattle Kevin was a regular performer with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet and others. Kevin was also involved in various film score recordings and worked regularly as the bassist for 5th Avenue Theatre of Seattle. Since locating in Oregon, Kevin has performed with the Oregon Symphony and Eugene Symphony, and he has accepted a temporary engagement for this season as principal bassist with the Oregon Mozart Players. Kevin performs on a northern Italian bass made ca. 1790. He lives outside of Newberg with his wife Ann and their two boys as he manages their 50-acre hazelnut orchard all the while continuing his work as a software administrator for Cambia Health Solutions.
