Colin Pip Dixon is a violinist and composer, born and raised in NYC. He lived and worked in Paris, France for many years and arrived in Eugene in 2017. As artistic director of The Elsewhere Ensemble (www.elsewhereensemble.com) he has performed in New York City, in France, Belgium, Quebec, Lebanon. In Oregon he has produced Elsewhere Ensemble performances of Chekhov Triptych and The Happy Prince, and has played with the Eugene Symphony and taught Feldenkrais workshops for musicians at the UO. His studies included a year at the European Mozart Academy in Poland, violin and pedagogy with Patricia Reibaud in France, and a BA in music performance from Haverford College.
