DANNY BIEDERMAN is an author who specializes in pop spy fiction. His insights into the world of TV and movie spies fill his book, The Incredible World of SPY-Fi, as well as his TV special, Hollywood Spytek, which he co-produced/wrote/directed for Discovery Channel. Both focus on the genre’s 1960s-era heyday, covering James Bond, Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and more. Biederman’s expertise has been utilized by several major movie studios, including in a number of legal cases. Danny found himself working with real spies when, in 2000, the CIA asked him to stage an exhibit of rare props, costumes, and artwork from 50 years of spy productions. The exhibit, drawn from Danny’s 4,000-piece collection, has since toured such museums as the Reagan Presidential Library, the International Spy Museum, and the National Atomic Museum. Biederman produced the 007 featurette A Spy for All Seasons and wrote a documentary about the British spy series, The Avengers. He also wrote for the NBC spy show Gavilan and Bond music projects for EMI and Warner Brothers.
