Born and raised in Malaysia, GENE CHIN has called Eugene home for over two decades, during which he has performed with the Actors Cabaret of Eugene, Broadway Rose Theatre, Eugene Opera, Eugene Symphony, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, Oregon Mozart Players, The Shedd Institute and Very Little Theatre. His stage credits include Guiteau (Assassins), Christmas Eve (Avenue Q), Aeneas (Dido And Aeneas), Falke (Die Fledermaus), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Ben (Follies), Baker (Into The Woods), Georges (La Cage Aux Folles), Almaviva (Le Nozze Di Figaro), Madden (Next To Normal) and Collins (Rent). A graduate of the University of Oregon’s doctoral music program, he currently serves as Music and Performing Arts Faculty at Bushnell University, and Adjunct Voice Instructor at Lane Community College. “Heartfelt thanks to Evynne and The Shedd.”
