Born and raised in Malaysia, GENE CHIN has called Eugene home for over two decades, during which he has performed with the Actors Cabaret of Eugene, Broadway Rose Theatre, Eugene Opera, Eugene Symphony, Oregon Contemporary Theatre, Oregon Mozart Players, The Shedd Institute and Very Little Theatre. His varied stage credits include Guiteau (Assassins), Christmas Eve (Avenue Q), Papageno (Die Zauberflöte), Ben (Follies), Baker (Into The Woods), Georges (La Cage Aux Folles), Almaviva (Le Nozze Di Figaro), Madden (Next To Normal), Collins (Rent) and Scott (The Rocky Horror Picture Show). A graduate of the University of Oregon’s doctoral music program, he currently teaches voice at Lane Community College and his private studio. “Heartfelt thanks to Evynne and The Shedd.”
