Rarely has Irish and Scottish music been heard together in a way that compares with the music of Gráinne Hambly and William Jackson. They perform solo and together on this tour, contrasting and complementary sounds and styles of the harps, concertina, whistle and mandola.
Gráinne Hambly, from County Mayo in Ireland, is one of the finest exponents of the Irish harp performing and touring throughout Europe and North America today. Her fluid style and virtuoso performances have gained her a reputation as an artist without equal. Gráinne has two widely acclaimed solo CDs. William Jackson, from Glasgow, Scotland, was a founding member of the renowned band Ossian. He has established a reputation as a fine composer and performer on the Irish harp. He has six solo CDs as well as being featured on all Ossian recordings.
