On tour in celebration of his 70th birthday, Jack DeJohnette welcomes friends Chick Corea and Stanley Clarke in acoustic trio. Each legendary in his own right, DeJohnette, Corea and Clarke have often played with each other (DeJohnette and Corea, for instance, with Miles Davis on Bitches Brew and Corea and Clarke on many projects, including Return To Forever), this will be first time that the 3 have worked together. The Shedd Institute is proud to be the opening venue on this very exclusive tour. Both DeJohnette and Corea have appeared at the Jaqua Concert Hall, and we have presented Corea and Clarke twice at the Hult Center. This will be Clarkes first Jaqua Concert Hall appearance.
