OFAM presents John Zorn and friends for a 3-event festival of Zorn's work Friday & Saturday, October 3-4, 2003. The festival opens Friday night at The Shedd with an evening of Zorn's classical chamber music, including a new piece commissioned by OFAM. A performance of Cobra will commence Saturday at 2:30 pm, also at The Shedd. The festival closes with Zorn & Masada at The Hult Center's Silva Concert Hall Saturday night at 7:30 pm. Tickets to Masada are available at the Hult Center (682-5000). Purchase tickets to the Shedd concerts and Festival packages at the OFAM Ticket Office at The Shedd (687-6526). All seats are reserved.
The OFAM Zorn Festival 2003 will take place Friday & Saturday, October 3 & 4. It will include 2 evening concerts and a morning workshop/rehearsal and afternoon performance of Zorn's game piece, Cobra (1984).
The festival opens on Friday, October 3 at 7:00 pm with an on-stage interview between John Zorn & OFAM producer Erik Martin. This is followed by an evening featuring Zorn chamber music, including the world premiere of Boetia, commissioned by OFAM for this festival.
