Microphilharmonic's Alice Blankenship and her Baroque colleagues offer up another historically-informed performance of music from the Italian Baroque. From the earliest Sonata ever published for the violin by Giovanni Paolo Cima (1570-1630), to the cherished Concerti Opus 11 of Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741), this musical journey will highlight the tender, the elegant, the poignant, and the wonderfully virtuosic music of Italy in the 17th and 18th centuries.
