Michael Anderson and the microphilharmonic present a program featuring the music of Czech composers Antonín Dvořák (1841-1904), Leoš Janáček (1854-1928) and Tomáš Svoboda (1939): Janáček's Mládí (Youth) for wind sextet (1924), Svoboda's Concerto for Woodwind Quintet, Op. 111 (2002), and Dvořák's Serenade for wind instruments, cello and double bass in D minor (1871).
This concert is eligible for The Shedd's Free Shedd Classical Tickets for Youth program, which makes a free ticket to select 2022-23 Shedd Classical concerts available to students high school and younger. The program is made possible by support from Shedd benefactors dedicated to exposing young people to the European art music tradition in all its forms.
