The Jazz Kings lean decidedly standards-based, each year we do offer an evening of big band Swing replete with a mix of original big band instrumentals and a choice selection of the Songbook classics which were de rigueur for all the bands during the Swing Era. Glenn Griffith takes a different turn this year with a Jazz Kings big band program that is completely filled with gems from the Classic Songbook by the likes of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Frank Loesser, Richard Rodgers, Harold Arlen, Jimmy Van Heusen, Victor Young, and many others. Look for classics like “Why Don’t You Do Right”, “It Never Entered My Mind”, “Satin Doll”, “The Man I Love”, and more.
