It’s that time of year! We invite you to come home with us for our 18th annual Shedd family Christmas concert with artistic director, Shirley Andress, band leader, Vicki Brabham and the Jazz King’s Christmas crew including Bill Hulings and Marisa Frantz.
This year’s theme is inspired by Claude Thornhill’s gentle, evocative “Snowfall”. For me, Thornhill’s song has always conjured up gorgeous images of a peaceful white winter. So, we’ll take you on a sleigh ride gliding, weaving and shushing our way through the most beloved Christmas standards of all time – “Home for the Holidays”, “White Christmas”, Silver Bells”, “Silent Night”, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” as well as a wintery mix of melodies from some of our favorite tunes – “Little Jack Frost”, It’s a Marshmallow World”, “Let it Snow”, “Winter Wonderland”, “Song of the Sleigh Bells” and a few newly inspired tunes like, “Snowfall”.
So, park your parka and come in where it’s cozy and warm. We’ll bring you some laughter and cheer as we anticipate the Christmas season along with the first... Snowfall!
