When we announced Anything Goes as the Festival's musical, many of OFAM's friends and supporters asked, "Why aren't you doing Kiss Me Kate"? Well, one can't do everything. But we haven't forgotten about Cole Porter's other musical masterpiece. We invite you to "Brush Up Your Shakespeare" with Dick Hyman's all-star sextet and a stellar vocal quartet (made up of Emerald City Jazz Kings favorites Julie Alsin, Michael Stone and Shirley Andress joined by Ty Stephens) as they put their own inimitable spin on songs from Porter's 1948 contemporary re-envisioning of The Taming of the Shrew! They're pretty much all there – "So In Love", "From This Moment On", "Why Can't You Behave", "Always True To You in My Fashion", "Wunderbar", "I've Come To Wive It Wealthily In Padua" and so on – so don't miss it!
